Description

A quiet forest lake anchors this canvas. A wooden boat rests at the boardwalk's edge, while a thatched cottage sits reflected in water rendered in ochre and teal. The palette sets this apart from typical lake prints: warm earth tones paired with cool water tones create depth without sentimentality.

This works well in a cabin living room, a cottage bedroom, or any space with wood tones and muted color. The scale matters here. Smaller sizes (17 to 40 inches) suit an accent wall above a sofa or bed. Larger formats (up to 94 inches wide) command a dining room or great room, where the foreground boat and water really read.

The canvas is stretched on a solid pine frame, printed with archival pigment inks on 400 gsm cotton-polyester blend with a semi-matte finish. It ships ready to hang as a gallery wrap, or you can add a floater frame in one of nine finishes: Black, White, Silver, Yellow Gold, Antique Gold, Rose Gold, Pink, Dark Walnut, or White Oak. Hanging hardware is not included; use wall anchors or fasteners suited to your wall type.

The Craft

Cotton-polyester canvas

Semi-matte cotton-poly blend at 400 gsm. Slight give in the surface — the texture you'd expect from a real canvas, not photo paper.

Archival pigment inks

Light-fast for decades when displayed indoors, out of direct sunlight. Calibrated colour reproduction, true to the original.

20 mm solid pine frame

Kiln-dried pine stretcher bars, deep enough for a clean gallery-wrap edge. The canvas wraps around all four sides, no staples on the front.

Recessed hanging channel

The back of the stretcher has a channel cut along its perimeter. One or two screws partway into the wall, slot the canvas on. No wire, no hooks.

How to Hang

Mark eye level

Centre of the canvas at 57–60 inches from the floor — the gallery standard. Above furniture, leave 6–12 inches between the top of the piece and the bottom of the canvas.

Pick your screws

Match to your wall: drywall anchors for plasterboard, masonry screws for brick or concrete. One screw is enough for portrait pieces; use two side by side for landscape.

Drive them partway in

Leave the heads protruding by about 5 mm. The recessed channel on the back of the stretcher will catch the heads — that's the entire hanging system.

Slot the canvas on

Lower the canvas until the channel catches both screws. Slide left or right to centre. No wire, no picture hooks, no measuring twice.

How long until it arrives?

Production takes 1–3 business days. Transit adds 2–7. Total approximately 3–10 business days door to door.

Do US customers pay duties?

No extra fees for US customers. Our canvas prints qualify under the CUSMA agreement, so no customs or duties apply.

Does it come ready to hang?

Yes. The recessed channel cut on the back of the stretcher catches your screws directly — no wire, no picture hooks. You'll need one or two wall screws of your own (chosen for your wall type).

Can I return it?

Yes — within 21 days of delivery. Items in original condition; original packaging where possible. We cover return shipping for damaged or wrong-item cases. Custom sizes are final sale.

Can I order a custom size?
