§ — Frequently Asked

Questions & Answers

Everything about our canvas, sizing, framing, shipping, care, and returns.

§ I

The Canvas

What material is the canvas?

A cotton-polyester blend — semi-matte with a slight give. Printed with archival pigment inks at 400 gsm, then stretched over a solid pine frame.

How thick is the stretcher frame?

20 mm (approximately ¾"). Deep enough for a clean gallery-wrap edge.

What's the finish?

Semi-matte — minimal glare under most lighting, not reflective like glossy photo paper.

Is the canvas fade-resistant?

Yes. We use archival pigment inks that remain light-fast for decades when displayed indoors, out of direct sunlight.

§ II

Sizes & Formats

Four aspect ratios (3:2, 1:1, 3:1, 2:1) and three formats — Single Panel, Floater Frame, or 3-Panel Split. From 16" up to 142" across, with custom sizes on request. For the full size chart and guidance on picking the right one for your wall, see our size guide →.

What does a 3-panel split mean?

The image is divided across three canvas panels that hang side by side — one artwork, three stretched pieces. Perfect for wide walls above a sofa or bed.

Can I order a custom size?

Yes. Custom sizes follow the same minimum and maximum range as our standard sizes — what changes is usually the aspect ratio. Custom orders add about 2 extra days to production.

Are custom sizes returnable?

Custom sizes are printed to order. They can only be returned if they arrive damaged or defective.

§ III

Framing

What framing options are there?

Every canvas comes as a Gallery Wrap — the canvas itself on pine bars, ready to hang, no outer frame. Optionally, you can add a Floater Frame in one of nine finishes:

  • Black
  • White
  • Silver
  • Yellow Gold
  • Antique Gold
  • Rose Gold
  • Pink
  • Dark Walnut
  • White Oak
Does a floater frame cost more?

Yes. Frame pricing varies by finish and size, and is shown in the product options on each listing.

Do I need a separate frame?

No. A gallery-wrapped canvas is ready to hang as-is. The floater frame is optional — purely aesthetic, for a finished, "framed" look around the edge.

§ IV

Ordering & Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

All options available through Shopify checkout: Visa · Mastercard · American Express · Discover · PayPal · Apple Pay · Google Pay · Shop Pay · Shop Pay Installments (buy now, pay later on eligible orders).

Can I change or cancel my order after payment?

Yes — within 12 hours of placing the order. After that, production has usually begun and changes or cancellations can no longer be guaranteed. To request a change, email info@luxecanvasart.com with your order number.

Can I change the shipping address after ordering?

Same 12-hour window. After that, shipping labels are usually generated and address changes aren't guaranteed.

Do I need an account to order?

No — guest checkout is available. Creating an account is optional; it lets you save addresses and unlock subscriber-only discounts.

§ V

Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship?

Across the United States and Canada. We don't currently ship outside North America.

How much does shipping cost?

Free on every order. We ship via UPS for standard sizes and DHL for large pieces — the carrier is selected by size and destination. All shipments include tracking and insurance.

How long until my order arrives?

Production: 1–3 business days (canvas usually 1–2). Transit: 2–7 business days. Total: approximately 3–10 business days door to door.

Can I get my order faster?

If you need your canvas sooner than our standard timeline, message us at info@luxecanvasart.com — ideally before placing the order, or right after. We can often expedite production to fit your date.

Do you ship on weekends?

No — orders ship Monday through Friday. No weekends or holidays.

Will I get a tracking number?

Yes. A shipment confirmation with tracking is emailed the moment your order leaves our atelier. You can also track any order at luxecanvasart.com/apps/track123.

How is the canvas packaged?

Depending on size, canvases ship in either a sturdy cardboard or wooden box, with insurance included. Larger pieces get the wooden-box treatment.

Do I pay duties or customs?

No extra fees for US customers. Our atelier is in Canada, close to the US border — and our canvas prints qualify under the CUSMA agreement (Canada-US-Mexico free trade). That means no customs or duties apply on shipments into the United States. For Canadian orders, any applicable local taxes are shown at checkout — no surprise charges after the fact.

What if my package arrives damaged?

If your package arrives damaged, please email info@luxecanvasart.com with your order number and three high-quality photos:

  • The damage on the canvas itself
  • The outside of the shipping box
  • The shipping label on the box (clearly legible)

Please keep the original box and packaging — don't discard anything until we've confirmed the replacement.

We prioritize damage claims. In most cases a replacement ships quickly, at no additional cost to you.

§ VI

Returns & Exchanges

What's your return policy?

Return or exchange within 21 days of delivery. Items should be in their original, unused condition — in original packaging where possible.

Who pays for return shipping?
  • Damaged, defective, or wrong item delivered — we cover all return and replacement shipping.
  • Change of mind — return shipping is the customer's responsibility.
Are custom sizes returnable?

Only if damaged or defective on arrival. Custom sizes and pieces from the Personalized Gifts portal are printed to order and not otherwise eligible for return.

How do I start a return?

Email info@luxecanvasart.com with your order number. All returns must be approved by our team before the item is shipped back — once approved we'll share the return address and next steps.

How long does a refund take?

Once your return reaches us and has been inspected, the refund is issued to the original payment method. Bank processing typically adds 3–10 business days.

§ VII

Care & Hanging

How do I hang the canvas?

The back of our stretcher frame has a recessed channel (a cutout) running along its entire perimeter. To hang: drive one or two screws partway into your wall, leaving them protruding slightly, and slot the recessed channel over the screw heads. No picture wire, no picture hooks required.

One screw or two?

One centered screw is enough for smaller or portrait (vertical) pieces. For larger or landscape (horizontal) pieces, use two — one on each side — for stability.

Are screws included?

No. You'll pick screws based on your wall type (drywall anchors, masonry screws, etc.) — any hardware store has what you need. We leave the choice to you so the hardware matches your wall.

How do I clean the canvas?

Dust periodically with a dry, soft microfiber cloth. Avoid water, cleaning sprays, or chemicals on the printed surface.

Does direct sunlight damage the print?

Archival pigment inks resist fading well, but — as with any fine art — avoid prolonged direct sunlight to protect color longevity. Indirect daylight is safe.
