Four aspect ratios, three formats, and a short guide to picking the right one for your wall.
How to choose
Measure the wall
Note the usable width and height of the wall — the space you want the artwork to occupy. Ignore the full wall dimensions; focus on the visible area around existing furniture and architecture.
Aim for 60–75% of the width
As a rule of thumb, artwork should fill about two-thirds of the usable wall width. Less feels small; more feels crowded. A 72" wide wall pairs beautifully with a 47×31 canvas.
Above furniture
Over a sofa, bed, or console, the artwork should be roughly two-thirds the width of the piece below, with 6–12" of breathing room between the top of the furniture and the bottom edge of the canvas.
When to pick a 3-panel split
Three-panel splits shine on wide walls — typically 60" wide or more. They add rhythm and presence without the weight of a single very large canvas, and they're easier to ship than one huge piece.
Eye level is king
Hang the center of the canvas at roughly 57–60" from the floor (standard gallery height). Above furniture, centre the piece 6–12" above the top.
The three formats
Single Panel — Gallery Wrap
The canvas itself, stretched over a 20 mm solid pine frame, image wrapping cleanly around the edge. Ready to hang, no outer frame. The most classic and understated choice.
Single Panel + Floater Frame
The canvas inside a thin floating frame, with a small gap between the canvas edge and the frame — a sculptural, gallery-like finish. Available in nine finishes (Black, White, Silver, Yellow Gold, Antique Gold, Rose Gold, Pink, Dark Walnut, White Oak).
3-Panel Split
One image, divided across three canvases that hang side by side. Adds rhythm and movement on wider walls. Each panel is gallery-wrapped and ready to hang individually.
