Kids Canvas

Kids canvas art works hardest when it grows with the child. Our kids collection has 247 designs across woodland animals, space and adventure scenes, sports motifs, and educational subjects. The palette mix leans away from screaming primaries toward colors that work in both a 4-year-old's room and the same room at age 9. Each design is printed on 400 gsm cotton-polyester canvas with archival pigment inks, stretched on a 20 mm solid pine frame, ready to hang.

Choosing canvas for a kid's room

  1. Pick subjects the child will keep choosing. Animals, vehicles, sports, and nature themes age well. Character-driven art from a current show or trend dates fast — fine for a quick refresh, less ideal as the long-term centerpiece.
  2. Size to the wall, not the age. A small canvas on a big wall looks lost no matter how cute the design. Use 16 x 24 inches above a desk or nightstand, 24 x 36 inches above a single bed, 36 x 48 inches as the focal piece on the main wall. See our size guide for room-by-room dimensions.
  3. Hang above arm's reach for younger kids. Center the canvas roughly 60 inches from the floor, or 6 to 12 inches above the bed or dresser. This keeps young hands away from edges and gives the art room to breathe in the photo if you share the room online.
  4. Single panel or split set. A single canvas is simplest and easiest to move when you redecorate. A 3-panel split fits wider walls and adds rhythm without needing extra hardware.
  5. Coordinate with one stable element. Pick the canvas to anchor the room, then build the bedding and accessories around it. Coordinating to two or three pieces of decor at once tends to lock you into one look and date the room faster.

Materials and durability

The kids canvas uses the same 400 gsm cotton-polyester blend as our adult collections. The matte protective coating means dust wipes off with a dry microfiber, and most marks come off with a slightly damp cloth. The pine stretcher and metal D-ring on the back are sturdier than the wire and sawtooth hangers on cheap posters. Inks are archival pigment, light-fast for 75 to 100+ years indoors out of direct sun. Themes in the collection

  • Woodland animals. Bears, foxes, owls, deer, and rabbits — illustrated rather than photographic, friendly without being cartoonish.
  • Adventure and space. Maps, astronauts, planets, dinosaurs. Works well in shared rooms because the subject reads cool at any age.
  • Sports and music. Baseball, soccer, basketball, piano, guitar. Useful when the room belongs to a kid with a strong interest.
  • Educational and abstract. Alphabets, numbers, color theory shapes. Best in playrooms and study corners.
  • Whimsical animals. Llamas, koalas, giraffes in fun poses — strong for younger kids, still readable as the room matures.

How this collection is different from Nursery

Our Nursery collection covers 0 to 3 years — soft pastels, gentle subjects, calmer palettes. Kids canvas picks up from there, with more energy in the colors and broader subject range. Some designs work in both (cute animals in muted palettes); the rest is built for the school-age room.
